To give you all a break from Jon and I talking too much, we're welcoming wildlife artist and photographer Richard Symonds to Buzzlive. Richard will be talking about his love for wildlife, his amazing paintings and his stunning photography too. This is a session not to be missed and it will be great if we have a good Foto-Buzz turnout for Richard. A few Foto-Buzzers, namely those who went to Antarctica with AJ, will have already met Richard and can vouch for his absolutely stunning artwork. He'll be talking about composition and how painting and photography share a lot of common visual themes. The link for the zoom will be posted on here and sent out by newsletter on Wednesday morning. However, please sign up in the usual way so we know who to expect...
In next week's zoom we want to look at some of your favourite travel photo and discuss some top travel photography tips along the way. While we can't currently make it much further than the end of the street, things will change so it's nice to look back and forward to better times all at once. For those Foto-Buzzers who'd like to submit their favourite travel photo (only one please), email their image saved at 1920 pixels on the longest edge to firstname.lastname@example.org, along with a brief note on when and where it was taken.
We'll be sticking with the travel-theme for Tuesday's Buzzlive and AJ will be talking about the trials, tribulations and triumphs of photographing people on your travels and adding narrative to your images. Jon's going to chip in with a live Photoshop toning demo too, so there's plenty of variety to enjoy. As always, please let us know you're attending by signing up below...
We'll be running through the top 10 images from the current FM (yes we know the results aren't yet published) in the Buzzlive session, so book your seat at the table for more mayhem, merriment and learning with Foto-Buzz HQ.
Former Practical Photography features editor and press photographer Ed Godden, has established himself as one of the UK's best documentary-style wedding photographers and he'll be joining us on this Buzzlive session to talk about his approach to wedding photography and photography in general. You'll be able to put your questions direct to Ed in this relaxed, chat-style one-hour session.
Join HQ and Foto-Buzzer Rosie Jackson for a session with a French flavour, just like an excellent glass of Côtes du Rhône! Madame Rosie Jackson will be talking about her photos of deliberately frozen French cherry blossom, while Monsieur James & Rosie will be chatting about the Festival de Abrivado in the Camargue. It's a spectacular meeting of horsemen and women on the beach at Saintes Maries de la Mer that's well worth a visit when we can all travel again.
Join us for a session looking at a set of black & white images of the Namibian desert, plus we'll give you some live monochrome processing tips... As always it takes place at 6pm - Wednesday June 16 - so book in below so we know you're coming.
Join us for an hour of chat, chuckling and anything else that starts with 'ch'. It won't cost you a penny and you might pick up a few tips - plus if you've entered the Foto Mission you might receive some fame and fortune*.
