Artistic photo edges are usually created in the digital domain using a graphics tablet and a selection of brushes from Photoshop, writes Jon Adams. Although this method can be successful with the right approach and a lot of practice, there is a very traditional way of doing this that’s far more organic, much more expressive, and a lot more fun! All you need is some black paint, a brush and a handful of A4 paper, and a raft of fantastic borders is closer than you’d think.
