Photoshop: Create genuine hand painted borders

Artistic photo edges are usually created in the digital domain using a graphics tablet and a selection of brushes from Photoshop, writes Jon Adams. Although this method can be successful with the right approach and a lot of practice, there is a very traditional way of doing this that’s far more organic, much more expressive, and a lot more fun! All you need is some black paint, a brush and a handful of A4 paper, and a raft of fantastic borders is closer than you’d think. In this video, Jon explains the entire process, from photographing your artwork to completing your picture, so sit back and see how it’s done. Once you’ve watched it,  you’ll be itching to have a go yourself!
