I hadn’t realised how long it has been since I did a blog…For me the year 2021 has not been the most kind and I have been not in the best place mentally. We managed to get away for a few days to the Cotswolds and the area around Blenheim primarily.

I never appreciated exactly how big Blenheim was, the image above was taken with a 5D Mk3 and I used a ND grad to keep detail in the clouds, the weather was changeable to say the least.

One from the front of Blenheim, I seem to be doing more mono images lately and really enjoying it.

Nice thing about about Blenheim is you can take photos indoors, this was using the 24-105 and ISO pushed to 6400, the 5D Mk3 handled the low light really well.
There is loads to see at Blenheim and we spent all day there and did not see everything but I did manage the Butterfly house.

If you ever get the chance to go, do so. I think the best time is probably early to mid-June to see all the gardens in their full glory, but still worth a visit anytime.

Cracking images Adrian. I used to drive past Blenheim twice a week for nearly four years on my weekly commute to and from the Cotwolds, but never got to visit, It is back on my list having seen this👍🏼

It looks a beautiful place, and the images capture it’s spirit. I think I’ll visit if I’m ever down there 🙂
